They have daily specials. Thursday after 9 pm 1/2 on drinks. Really cheap considering. Oak wood finish ? typical Scottish pub... design and flare Live music between 9 pm - 1 am as well. Many large screens broadcasting sports. Very loud ambiance but if youdon?t mind shouting ?.. great! Friendly and swift service. Read more

Food is is not that special. Poutine missed its mark, light on the gravey and cheese curds. Fries thin cut, dry and not hot?... Jalapeño poppers not hot but warm cold?? They have very little quality Canadian Whisky. They make a big deal about their Whiskycollection, yet show little interest, investment or visual display for the depth of our Canadian offerings. Canada has a lot tooffer from Ryes, blends to the New Sige Malts coming out. It's sad that Canadians show no interest or pride in our rich historyof distillation. Fortunately this is changing slowly. The staff was pleasant and did offer multi sample of beer to find the onethat resonated. Read more

They should be ashamed of themselves to call their Fish and Chips ?Scottish?. I've been to Scotland and England and this comes... nowhere close. First of all the chips. They are very skinny, almost like McDonald's fries. Real Scottish or British chips arethick sliced potatoes. Now even if they were skinny but taste good it would be fine but unfortunately they just don't tastegood. Secondly, they served the Fish and Chips with some weird coleslaw. I have never been served Fish and Chips with coleslawbefore. I'm not sure if this is a substitution for mushy peas but it is a very odd choice. Finally comes the fish. The fishbatter is greasy and flavorless. It honestly reminds me of something I could buy out of a frozen box. I know this is a veryharsh review but I just want the quality of food to improve in Ottawa. Places like this shouldn't be getting away with such highreviews when In reality the food is below average. Stopped here for late supper. We shared the deep fried ravioli and my wife had the beef dip sandwich with potatoe and leek soup... while I had the Scottish burger with goat cheese and smoked ham with fries. Everything was delivered quick, hot, fresh andjuicy. We were just finishing the appetizer when the mains arrived. Food tasted great but the only thing they need to work on isfinding a bun that will stand up to the juiciness of the burger. Staff were friendly and attentive, great atmosphere. Read more

I don?t have much to complain about in general but I literally just had one of the most disappointing service experiences in... recent memory here. It took about half an hour for the third person who saw us to take our order (two drinks and one plate ofnachos for two people) and then nearly an hour to get our bills (in the middle of this hour I went up to ask for it) afterwaving down one of the other servers. It didn?t seem particularly busy but our server seemed to have been chatting a lot towhat appeared to be an off-duty co-worker at the bar. We passed this sign on the way out. I wonder why they needed to post it?I am sure we would have gotten noticed earlier had we walked out (and had the cops called on us). Read more
