Firstly, I need to say that I love Fat Albert?s subs. However, I visited this location and we ordered #1 Subs, steak and ham.... Not sure if this was a ingredient supply problem but they changed them. The cheese was not what it was supposed to be as it wassoft like a mozzarella but not stringy and was an over powering flavour. The fact that the subs tasted the same leads me tobelieve that it was not a one off occurrence that maybe they used the wrong cheese in one sandwich and not the others. One ofthe people that joined me said that they stopped ordering the #14 because they changed the ingredients. I will go back again andsee if it?s the same. If it is, I?m disappointed that I will stop going to where my favourite sub existed. Read more
Just finished having supper at fat Albert's I usually make a stop every time I come to Ottawa my friends ... joined me this visit and told me that was the best meatball sub and smoked meat sandwich they ever had I love coming here plse keep up the great food and the service was awesome Read more
For decades Fat Alberts was so delicious. Now it is such a shell of what it once was. Where they once had the most magnificent... and perfect meatball sub in the world (1980s-2021), now it's stale grocery store meatballs with lower quality cheese. They havenot stopped cutting corners and they have not stopped increasing their prices. Read more
