Located at the heart of Downtown Ottawa. Small restaurant with a nice ambience. You can get good Thai food here. Pad Khee Mao... was amazing. This place can get busy so reserve a table before you go. Read more
This was our first time to a Thai Restaurant....seriously! Table service was very quick, almost too quick. It seemed as though... we were being rushed but that stopped towards the end of our meal. Our server was very nice and polite just a bit hard tounderstand some of her words as she had quite an accent. She helped us choose some items that our tastes would probablylike. Food selection was tremendous. Too many items in my opinion. And I didn't like the fact the dishes are numbered, likesome local Chinese Take-Out joint. But I did see later that many of the Eastern/Asian restaurants in the Market were the same.Food was served as 'medium' in heat with hot sauce on the side...for me! Very tasty. Good restaurant. Indoor and outside seating. Dishes arrive pretty fast. Vegan options. Friendly staff. Update : Be aware that... kitchen seem to close at 9pm...then staff (all of them) will push you around 9.15 to hurry up to finish your diner so they canclose at 10pm for sure...did not feel right! One of the single worst places I've eaten. To sum it up, it tasted like someone tried to make Thai food at home and screwed up.... They literally put the most minimal effort in their dishes. Ordered the Papaya Salad and it was the saddest looking and worsttasting papaya salad I have had. Shrimp (why shrimp anyway!?) literally just plopped on top of a sad salad, that didn't tastefresh and was lukewarm. Likely had been just sitting on the kitchen counter. Beef curry wasn't tender and was excessivelysweet. It's as if they rely more on people thinking it tastes good because it has a ton of sugar than actually trying to puttogether a cohesive dish. Potatoes hardly even cooked through as well. Finally the shrimp curry was just as the papaya salad,just some shrimp floating in a watered-down curry. No effort to marinate, saute, or texture to the dish. I don't want to say,not to eat there, but I'm genuinely upset about my experience. Read more

Had heard lots about how good this restaurant was so decided to give it a try. We visited on a Monday night and the restaurant... was still quite busy and full. Despite this, the service was quick and efficient which I appreciated. The presentation of thefood/drink was also very nice which I enjoyed. However, in terms of taste, i felt like every item we ordered was so-so. Ibelieve this could be due to the fact that I had high expectations going in. The satay chicken skewers, although recommended bymany, were very bland. The pad thai was good but I’ve definitely tasted better ones. The steamed salmon in red curry served ina coconut was okay at first but it left a weird after taste that I did not enjoy. If I had to pick my favourite item out of whatwe ordered, it would be the vegetable spring rolls that was super crispy and freshly made. Overall, I think the visit was worthit for the experience but I don’t see myself visiting again in the near future. Read more
