Food is authentic Indian. Have plenty of great dosa variants. Servers and the owner himself are quite friendly. Budget... friendly. Amazing taste and a definite hidden gem in Ottawa. Highly recommended. Read more
I really liked the food. The food was great and fresh. No complaints about the food or the service. What did bother my... experience and what made me take some stars away was the organization of the business. I think they may have been severelyunderstaffed for a full restaurant. Which also lead to our meals being served nearly 10mins a part (my friend had to watch meeat til their meal came) and between our meals I saw about 4 other tables get food….. not sure what that was about. Also nocommunication…. All in all i dont think I would return unless it was slow business day for them. I love the lamb biriyani here.. the place is good for dine in.. the prices slightly on the higher side but the food was good.
We had a quick dinner at Thanjai on a Friday evening. The place has limited seating and the wonderful aromas of sambar hit you... the minute you walk through the door. We had Medu Vada Sambar which was nice but the vadas weren't crispy. Probably because theywere dunked in sambar but the taste was good. The Mysore Masala Dosa and Podi Masala Dosa were amazing. Sambar and Coconutchutney were on point. The red tomato and onion chutney tasted off. Look forward to trying their meat and seafood items. All inall a good dining experience.
