The kitchen setup wasn’t conducive to the experience of watching the chefs in action. Their backs were turned to us all the... time while cooking.\n\nThe sauce that was used in several dishes overpowered the flavor of the protein. It’s supposed toenhance the flavor, not mask it. Same for the berry sauce added to the foie gras.\n\nThe quail dish tasted like chickenteriyaki.\n\nThe porcelet dish tasted like Asian pork.\n\nThe size of the king crab pieces were smaller than a dime.\n\nTheadd-ons: $250 pp for truffle, $150 pp for caviar. And they weren’t added on to all of the protein dishes.\n\nThe wine is onthe high side. Prices didn’t seem to be posted in the wine list. Read more

We had an incredible dinner at Four, to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We were both blown away by the creative menu. The... complexity of each course was amazing! The staff was engaging and super attentive! We loved everything about the experience. Mywife loved the plates & glasses, they were beautiful and showcased each course. Everything was well orchestrated. Expensive, butwell worth the experience! Looking forward to another special occasion! Read more

I rarely write reviews but I’m compelled to write one about this restaurant. An early reviewer, Joseph M. could not be more... wrong. I’m sorry but haters are always gonna hate. I watched my food being cooked and there was NO cross contamination. Theportions are TASTINGS and so are small. Yet by the sixth course, we were stuffed and had to push through to get to the end. Wedid the wine pairing with the courses. My favorite courses were the char sui, the arepa, arctic char with chorizo on top, and (Inormally dislike falafel but) the falafel with crab was AMAZING! For dessert we had a banana crème pie with avocado ice cream.Who would have known that combo could be so tasty??? We did the wine pairing, which was delicious, and went great with the food. This is one of the top restaurants I have ever eaten at, including restaurants in Roslyn and NYC. We were so stuffed when weleft the restaurant, we had to be rolled out the door. I have no idea why anyone would give this restaurant 1 star, except thatmaybe the reviewer is an entitled millennial with a chip on his shoulder or perhaps he owns a competing restaurant. Greatexperience! I would go again for another special occasion!! Read more

Jesse Schenker on 2 Springstreet.com writes \"remember, its not just about the food- it has to be an experience\"... and an... experience it truly was. Having known what the 2 spring street experience was beforehand, I had a feeling Four was no different.Portion sizes were two times smaller than those at 2 Spring and price was double. Before attending Four, we warned the Maitre dwho scheduled the evening about some folks with seafood allergies including myself. After warning Chef Schenker for the secondtime that night about his cross contamination with shellfish and fresh fish on the same grill he went on to tell me \"it\'s okto eat the tuna you won\'t die\". At this point I was pretty much over the experience. We dined with 10 people, every portionwas one bite size. Some people in the party left hungry. The best part was, we paid 4k for the \"Four experience\" and ChefSchenker never thanked or said good night to anybody. Read more
