Love the historical aspect of this place. Had an excellent ribeye and the drinks were spot on
I gather that this place has been in Pacifica forever. It has an ideal location right on highway one in a lovely old... building. The food is sorrowful. It barely attains to mediocrity. Even the simplest of things in this restaurant seem tofail. The bread is stale. Even the expensive garlic bread. Salad is old and wilted and feels like it's been sitting around therestaurant for at least 3 days. Tasteless with no texture. The Minestrone soup had a fairly unrecognizable taste. The chickenparmesan was nothing to write home about. And the service was quite remarkably slow. All in all, a dismal experience and onethat I would Not recommend. The people up front were nice. Firstly, the website menu prices were like $10 less then my photos, which sucked. Secondly, the... food is not fresh. Our mozzarella sticks came out still with a frozen center. I shared a seafood combo with someone. Well thefish was so so. The calamari rings were not edible. I was excited to try prawns, but one wasn't devained and they did redo itbut the next one still had telling signs it too was not cleaned. The scallops were good without the breading. The ocean wasright there for the seafood not to fresh. The history of this place was neat. $45 wasted. (It seems like the good reviews arefrom locals that have gotten use to poor food quality. Had some ribeye steak, it was delicious! ????I've eaten there several times over the years, it's always good food! It's in a... building that was an actual train station for the Ocean Shore Railroad over 100 years ago, lots of pictures of the area fromback in the day! Read more
