Was so disappointed. Self check your order. Pick up your food. Nothing on the table. Use to you had to wait for a table. We went... at lunch and there was only 1 table that had people. Sad day for that restaurant. We will never go back. Burgers were bad andcold. Read more

I know everywhere is going to self serve type places but I seriously hate they are here. Foods ok and they were nice but no... table service and order at a kiosk now kills the fun vibe. Hate to say it but has that feel of a chain going under and reachingfor the last resort to stay alive. Nothing personal anymore so probably won't return. Read more

I love what SteakNShake used to be. I do think, however, this was my last time to dine in one. My daughter and I cherish our... memories of sitting up at the counter in our town of residence and exchange smiles and stories with the efficient and extremelykind and funny waitress. I know that Covid required some shifting to stay in business, but St&Sh went too far by totallyreplacing the wait staff with kiosks. My husband was so frustrated trying to find in the kiosk menu a sandwich that did not havecheese?. All but the smallest one had cheese in its listed name? so he sacrificed and clicked on the smallest burger and was?less than pleased?, shall we say, when his burger came with cheese? there was probably an option for no cheese somewhere in thesystem, but it should not have been needed for the one non-cheeseburger type of burger. If they insist on using kiosks, theyreally must have newbies do their test drive evaluations. If we would have commented to the manager while we were there, wouldhubby have probably received what he thought he ordered or what he wanted?.. likely? but the shortage of time didn?t allow thisand really should not have been needed. In the meantime, many tables needed to be cleaned but did not seem to be assigned totheir crew. Of course I do not know if they had some workers not show up today? I assumed they were not scheduled. We alreadysaw the evidence that their priority was paying for kiosks not employees. Good news is the toilet ball and chain i reported asneeding replacement the last time we were in town was indeed replaced? but now it needs the chain adjusted and this time I didnot take time to report it because of time and the thought that surely I am not the only one who notices their toilets don?tflush properly. Credit where it is due? the shoe string fries were perfectly crisped. And the fry cook took time to turn to uswhen he heard my husband frustrated that he couldn?t find ketchup as an option in same kiosk order Read more

We walked in and ordered 2 hamburgers inside using their electronic panel for Take Out, but despite their Dine-In being fairly... empty, it took 28 minutes to get them. Seemed that everyone ordering through the Drive Thru window were getting their food rightaway, and were given priority over us who placed our order inside the establishment. That was irritating. I hadn?t had Steak And Shake in a few years so decided to order it through Doordash as I was feeling extra lazy and hungry at... home. I ordered the double garlic steak burger with an extra patty and fries with an extra side of garlic aioli for lunch. Itwas delicious. One of the best burgers I?ve had in a while. I also ordered a Chili 5 Way that I could take to work and microwavefor dinner and it was just as good heated up as leftovers as it ever was when I ordered it in the restaurant before. Veryimpressed with the quality of the food and will definitely not wait years to return. Read more
