We didn't know where to go.. so we chose this little spot in a casino. I had a cheeseburger wife had chicken steak. Large... portions and my burger was a perfect medium. Wife's veggies were bright green! Read more
For nearly 5 years, my wife and I have been regulars at the Cafe with no problems until today. I was in town alone and stopped... for an early dinner. I decided to try the rib eye steak. Bad decision! The steak was tough. The mashed potatoes were out of abox; the gravy was like water and the "texas toast" was nothing more than a hoagie roll cut in half and toasted. I could notfinish any part of the meal. The iced tea tasted like it came out of a dirty container and I was unable to drink it.I expressedmy concerns to my waiter and he was most apologetic. I told him the problem was in the kitchen. When I went to pay the bill, Iagain expressed my displeasure (very politely) and no effort was made to have it discussed with anyone even though a floorsupervisor was leaning on the edge of the cashier's booth. This was a very disappointing experience and made me wonder if otherswho may have had problems were ignored as well. The two stars are for the service as that is generally always very good. If you like baked potatoes, you're gonna love this place. The potatoes themselves are massive enough to be more than a full... meal, and there is a wide and creative variety of specialty taters. I've never considered baked potatoes to be anything morethan a side dish, but this place sure changed my opinion. You might think the taters are a bit pricey but with how high theypile them, you certainly are getting your money's worth. We had the bbq chicken and holiday dinner taters, both of which wereamazing, and we will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu. Read more
