Fast, thoughtful service. Came at lunchtime on a Thursday and expected to wait. It literally took 10 minutes to get in and out... and I ordered a Philly steak and cheese which is grilled. I am convinced that if I ordered a cold sub it would have been 5minutes less. Everything was as I ordered and was delicious! Good job! Read more
I grew up eating Jersey Mike's when it was just a humble, local sub shop at the Jersey Shore. Among the things that have... impressed me the most is that they've been able to grow so large and yet retain the quality and flavor of the subs I remembergrowing up with. And that goes for wherever I have had Jersey Mike's - whether in Jersey, or as far away as Southern Californiaor Florida. It's kinda weird, actually. I only have a couple of gripes. The first is that they've trimmed down their menu fromthe large selection I grew up with. I miss all the classic subs that used to be on offer, though I understand the need tosimplify the menu with all of the company's expansion. Second, and the one that really makes me crazy, is that they have coinedthe standard dressing of a sub as "Mike's way." Everywhere Ive ever lived in the NJ, PA or New England... And whether you calledit a sub, a hoagie or a grinder... You would normally ask for "everything" on it. That means you get it topped with lettuce,tomatoes, onions, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and oregano. Or as they now call it here - Mike's Way. Look, I get it - it's agimmick, and one that works for name recognition and for folks who didn't grow up in the northeast. But for those who arefamiliar, it's kinduvan insult to the thousands of other mom and pop shops who have always topped sandwiches this way forgenerations. It's a strange concept to try and own. Okay, rant over. Despite that particular critique, I still love JerseyMike's. It's nice to find a good sub if I have the hankering, especially when I'm traveling abroad and I want to feel at home -It's always nice to walk in and see the old pictures of Point Pleasant hanging on the walls,even if the kids making my sandwichhave no idea where that even is. I love that they have the UDI Gluten Free bread. I get a hit sub, without any add ons and so far I have not had any issues with... Gluten. I would not recommend the UDI GF cookie, it's horrible. Read more
