The best Sfogliatella I've eaten anywhere. Even better than the ones I sampled all over Campania. The pastry's crisp, buttery,... leaves quickly melted away to a fluffly orange ricotta filling. The bakery was understaffed when I visited and only able tofill online or phone orders. The proprietor (Al) was apologetic and let me know what they had on hand. I will never order a publix cake again for a special occasion. Al from Adette's Bakery worked with me to create my vision for a... 50th Birthday party. I needed cake to feed over a 100 people and Al gave me the best options that would work best with mysituation. We finally settled on a display cake for the party & pictures (Show Stopper) and in the back we settled on sheetcakes which were to be eaten & never seen!!!. The taste was amazing!!! Wonderful experience at Palm Coast's newest bakery, Adette's Bistro & Bakery located in City Marketplace across the parking lot... from Dominic's Deli. I ordered a small assortment to try: Baguette, Chicken Liver Paté, Goat Cheese & Avocado Spread, and aLobster Tail pastry. Everything was exemplary, but let's talk about this Lobster Tail. Oh.my.heavens. It weighs at least apound; the pastry layers are crisp and flaky, the pastry cream is divine. They don't fill the pastry until you come to pick upyour order, so everything is fresh. Incredible quality of ingredients plus culinary artistry at work! Equally good (but notquite as exciting) the paté and spread were wonderful and the baguette was excellent as well. I can't wait to try moreitems! At the present time, Adette's is pre-order only. Ordering is very easy on their website, adettes.com, or over thephone, and pickup is very efficient. Can't say enough about this place. The Sfogliatelle were authentic, fresh, and absolutely to die for. Al, the owner and his... wife were above and beyond gracious.
