Manny host and manager was friendly. Nice enclosed patio. Waited at least 10-15 min for Victor server to ask if we wanted... water. At that point we asked for wine and beer. He was vague on what was on tap and had it backwards. He started walkingaway so we asked to order salads. He then asked if wanted entrees; we said we'll wait. Someone else brought salads. We waitedanother 10+ minutes and finally spotted Victor and waved him over and ordered pizza and another glass of wine. Forgot to orderbread. Asked another another waiter for bread. Had to ask two more servers to ask Victor for my second glass of wine. Thearugula and panzabella small salads and the margherita with extra sauce cheese and basil were all good. Our tip is based onservice which was non existent until it was time for check. Victor actually brought the restaurant copy back and had circledthe percentage tip amounts. We had NEVER had that happen before. I explained to Manny that we tip according to service andVictor's service was seriously lacking plus he returned the check with the tip % circled. Manny apologized and said to ask forhim next time we're there. Victor followed us out the door and thanked us for coming like he was expecting more tip. What astrange experience. Read more

Three strikes! Nov 5 2022 was our third time here in three weeks. First time we left after not getting served. Second time they... served the table next to us and never acknowledged us, so we went across the street. Third time i had to walk to the bar toorder drinks. The food quality doesnt make up for the trash service. Go litterally anywhere else on El Paseo Read more

We were told this was the best Italian restaurant around. I am not going to agree with the recommendation. Fun seating... outside and looks inviting when walking in. We had reservations and were guided through the kitchen serving area to a back roomthat was stuffy, cramped and uninviting. The wood varnish tables were sticky and the staff were slow to take drink orders. Thefood descriptions on the menu sounded great and I was expecting food that would make my taste buds go wild.... and that didn'thappen. Our pizza was good and the crust/dough was flavorful and cooked nicely, but it was still just a cheesy pepperoni pizza(11 in. for $23). The pasta with vodka sauce was a bust. Ordered it with chicken (extra $$) and I can say would not orderagain. Big bowl of pasta with light sauce and hardly any chicken. It just didn’t live up to the flavors promised from thedescription. They did not offer any bread and we had to ask for water refills twice. Sorry Piero's, you will not be making mycomeback again list. Read more

Patty was an incredible server and very helpful when it came to our allergies. Hands down, one of the best gluten free crusts on... the planet! Having the Buffalo mozzarella made it even more special for us since we can't have cow dairy. well done! Read more

This joint has some pretty good Italian food and an extensive menu. Good combination of traditional Italian and seafood. Good... wine list, good tap beers. Fresh quality. The prices are a too high for what you get - this is not fine dining but good solidItalian. Perhaps they need to price high being located on El Paseo and if folks will pay., more power to them. Service is notgreat: slow, never saw a busboy once and they leave your plates and empty glasses on the table well into desert - many localdiners have better service. Staff is very friendly though just not very motivated to bus tables or refill water or tea. Worth avisit, but for what they charge, they could raise their game a bit more. Read more
