This is by far the best sushi restaurant in the desert. Kiyo uses only the best and freshest ingredients but beware, there is a... price tag attached. His special grapefruit teems with beautiful raw fish and a generous piece of king crab. His California rollis made with a whole crab leg but don?t order this if you can?t bring yourself to pay $35. This is not the place to orderindividual pieces of sushi but rather hear out the daily specials and recommendations. DO NOT attempt to change the menu or askfor substitutions. Kiyo runs a traditional restaurant. Read the back of the small menu and you will understand his explanation.Keeping with tradition, they are closed on Wednesday and now have added another day off with Tuesday. It is small with limitedseating so arrive early. And hurry as retirement is just around the corner. Read more

I went into this restaurant expecting decent sushi and Japanese food, I left unhappy and ripped off. Prices here are way too... high - an extra $3.50 for a bowl of rice that should be included with your dinner?? Let me bring my own bag of rice next timefor that price. Also, I ordered a California Roll and they served me a $35 dollar King Crab Roll. I specifically DID NOT wantthe $35 king crab roll, I wanted a California roll. Somehow I thought I wouldn't be overcharged ordering a California roll, instead they gave me a king crab roll and said that is a California roll. A king crab roll is not a California roll, your menuDOES NOT say King crab roll/ California roll, it only says King crab roll. I said I wanted a California roll and you gave me aKing Crab roll. Act kindly towards your next customer and tell them the difference at your restaurant. Who likes to be chargedan unexpected $35 dollars for a small roll? The roll wasn't even amazing either. Every dish came out at different times. Afterwe had ate 3 different dishes, we waited 20 minutes for a tempura roll. We were promised it was on its way and after 20 minutesof waiting we said something again- to our surprise the chef never got the order! We canceled the tempura order. I'm all forhaving expensive meals that are worth it, but this meal went downhill fast. I went to this restaurant with my family who islocal and none of us will ever be back. Read more

Very disappointed! Limited menu, over priced, average quality, small portions. We had a quest in town and wished we had eaten at... another restaurant. We tried it but will not return. Read more

I am puzzled as to why this restaurant is charging such high prices. The quality was good, but certainly not anything special... that deserves premium pricing. Service was fine. It was pretty dead for a Friday, now I can see why. Read more
