While visiting the Moorestown area I was lucky enough to try the jumbo lump crab cakes that came highly recommend by one of the... nurses. To my amazement, one bite is all it took to bring me back to nostalgia, where I worked at a high class Italianrestaurant and the head chef would always make me create and type up the specials of the day, that being jumbo lump crab cakes. It was one if my favorite dishes served as an appetizer. But here at the Soup Bar it is served with grilled cheese and I was sodelighted when I tasted how fresh it was. I will be coming here more often! 2 thumbs up! Read more

I ordered a week in advance of Thanksgiving and was told to pick up my order on Nov 23 (my birthday) just after 2 pm. My brother... and I arrived and were told they needed to make more ?mashed potatoes?. We were asked to come back at 3:15. Once again we weretold to come back in yet another hour?they still needed to make ? mashed potatoes?. Trays of food were everywhere and a womansuggested if we could take all the food and just come back for the mashed potatoes, the chef motioned ?NO.? Once again, we leftand came back at 4:15. As we walked inside, the same woman we had spoken to twice before looked as though she had never seen us. No greeting, no acknowledgement - all she said was ?we are all out of food except for a tray of turkey and some gravy.? Iimmediately thought she was joking and questioned how this could happen?? How had other people gotten their food but yet we wereinconvenienced all afternoon?? She went on about how they had lots of macaroni and cheese (which was NOT even on the menu norwas that what we wanted) Unbelievable. I then realized her seriousness and tears began flowing down my face. I asked again andagain- why and how was our food given away? Why weren?t we called? (instead of driving back and forth 3 times) to which shereplied ?I was too busy?. Not a way to run a business. Other coworkers tried to apologize but it was useless at this point.I had people to cook for and finding out 2.5 hours after my scheduled pick up time they couldn?t provide was simplyridiculous. Instead of celebrating, I spent the night of my birthday food shopping and prepping for a meal that should?ve beendelivered as promised. To add to the chaos, while we questioned and argued- the chef was sitting down the entire time notsaying a single word. No eye contact. No explanation. No apology. Nothing. This restaurant was so disorganized, unprofessionaland disappointing, I will never return. So much for breaking a family tradition and trying to support smal Read more

We placed an order in advance for pre-made Thanksgiving dinner. Orders were to be picked up between the hours of 1-4. We... called to verify around 12 noon and they were too busy to speak with us we were told to call back. We called back around 1:30we were told to pickup our order by 4. We arrived at 3 and then were told they were out of mashed potatoes and come back inhalf an hour. We went back at 3:40 only one other customer in the shop at that time. Again out of mashed potatoes so we waitedwhile a fresh batch was being made. We were also informed they were also out of sweet potatoes. When the mashed potatoes weredone the staff filled orders of other customers that came in after us without our knowledge and then they had the nerve to tellus oh sorry we have no more mashed potatoes. No other orders should have been filled prior to us receiving the mashed potatoeswe had already paid for. The owner exhibited no concern at all. This is not their first year selling Thanksgiving dinners andyet this operation was a total disorganized cluster . . . . We paid for mashed potatoes & sweet potatoes that we did notreceive, they did substitute Mac & Cheese for the sweet potatoes but that was not what we wanted. Very disappointing, unacceptable and a horrendous experience! Read more

Had roasted tomato soup. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't delicious either. The real problem is, though, it is overpriced. Doesn't... deserve $10. (They should update the menu here, btw, a bowl of soup is $10 (except crab bisque, which is $13) and crab cakes are$15 each.) However, the place was clean and the staff was nice. P.S. It was closed at 2:45 pm on a Thursday. They should changetheir hours too. Read more
