Clad in fancy white stone & fireplace of same, Magel's looked too upscale to me in the past. But when I walked in the door, I... felt welcome. Comfortable, vinyl booth seating, sturdy, clean dining tables w/ wood chairs & indoor/outdoor carpet. Casual.Attentive, courteous, engaging, waitstaff. Interested in Google Maps. ???? sat in the back room. Its East wall, full-heightwindows ? looking out onto the swimming pool of the adjacent Americas Best Value Inn. No WiFi. ???? 8 chicken fried steak,broccoli, baked potato, Diet Coke, & for dessert, Lava Fudge Cake. Chicken fried steak was reminiscent of KFC "Original," Tasty!Lava Fudge Cake was Choc-o-licious! I had a grilled chicken that was not up to par. It was cold when it got to the table and was poorly prepared. On the other hand... another member of our party had a fried dish and it was very good. Excellent menu and fresh food. Wait staff is very friendly and on the spot. Everything from Salmon to Burgers, Nachos to Chicken... Fried Steak. We love to stop in here to visit with local relatives when we go to Paris. They will allow any substitutions oradd-ons. This is NOT a chain restaurant! Read more
