This place is amazing! It?s in a nice hotel with even nicer water views, higher prices with great service and food. Plenty of... drink options including wine from BC, delicious food and desserts. Short ribs come in small portions, but the chicken and fish nchips are pretty big and the linguini had plenty of protein! Had such a nice lunch today with my Mum and pup today. We wanted to make the most of the last bit of patio season and I?m so... glad we picked the Bayside! It?s been years since I?ve been there and I have to mention how nice the upgrade is! Inside theyshowcase beautiful west coast art with a nice beachy modern interior. It felt clean inside too. Staff were welcoming and we saton their dog-friendly patio with an epic view of one of the nicest sandy beaches on the island. We ordered the coconut butterflyprawns, tuna tataki, kale Caesar salad, crab cakes, a bottle of BC rose, and a side of bacon for my pup. Everything was nicelypresented and so delicious and fresh! It was hard to pick my favourite dish as every plate was excellent. I love how they?re nottrying to reinvent the wheel with some universal favourites, but their unique spin on their dishes is refreshing. It?s so niceto go out and enjoy not only the view but the service and food too! After our meal, we used their beach access to roam the lowtide with our pup. The location is stunning the outdoor patio as a beautiful waterfront view and a very nice ambiance. There are a few tables that... have fireplaces to sit around if your lucky enough to get one of those you can sit there for hours enjoying the view. The kidsfood which was spaghetti and chicken tenders were great. Just how I expected them. The sirloin I had asked for medium well butit was burnt on all the edges that I couldn?t even bit as it was a rock. The places it wasn?t I found it to be very dry. Theaccompaniments which were veggies and potatoes and sautéed mushrooms (mushrooms cost extra) were all great and cooked toperfection. The same goes for the roasted chicken it was good but too dry so took away from it. The triple chocolate cheesecakefor me Was just not good at all the chocolate indulgence was much better but again wasn?t a fan of it. So why 4 stars?the viewalone is a 5 stars, service was friendly(but very slow) but didn?t mind as there was the view again. If you're looking for a classy joint with a view look no further! It's that vacation meal you've been looking for! Menu is very... west coast with fish dishes along side short ribs and pasta. My salmon wrapped in banana leaf with quinoa speaks to some Latinand Asian influences. Worth a visit! Read more

Dined at this restaurant for a milestone birthday and everything was outstanding. Our server was excellent; super friendly and... professional. The food was outstanding.
