One of my favorite restaurants in the KC area. It?s a cozy intimate place that?s perfect for a date night or small celebration.... After trying nearly everything on the menu I think I can safely say that everything on the menu is delicious. The wine selectionis awesome as well, but can be overwhelming by the sheer number of options. Don?t be afraid to ask for help, as the host willbe happy to pick a bottle that suits your tastes. My friends and I had the pleasure of eating lunch at Cafe des Amis today. I ordered the rainbow trout which came with a salad... with the perfect amount of dressing. The portion size of fish was large as the photo shows. Warm bread with lavender butter wasalso brought to the table. For dessert I chose to be adventurous and had an almond and pistachio cake topped with a strawberrymousse and a strawberry sauce. It was like eating heaven.
