I wasn?t impressed by this hotel. It?s not close to any malls, shops or convenience stores and the only tiny convenience store... they had inside was closed. They only have one restaurant onsite and one bar. It?s old and in need of renovations. On the plusside, the bed was comfortable and their fitness centre was decent. Note to management: since you?re nowhere near anything withinwalking distance, I?d recommend adding a couple of restaurants, bars and convenience stores. Open the one you have. What giveswith that? Another win for Marriot. A very busy property. The gym was fabulous! Should you like movies or wish to connect to your streaming... service...no can do. Basic TV and to rent any movie, old or still in theaters, $20.00 for each. The hot portion of the breakfastis too porky without non-pork options and it is $20 per person. The staff throughout the property were very accommodating andpleasant. The Tara is still a classy property. Read more
This hotel is just not considerate of ALL its guests. I am staying here for a week and will spend well over thousand dollars for... my accommodation. I have been unable to get any 1 meals on site in 4 days. Its wonderful that they have weddings and big groupevents, I have been here 4 days and for the entire time there has been different events. I dont have issues with the events butI have an issue that the rest of the hotel guests like myself not having any where to eat on site. each time I want to eat Ineed to drive off or deliver.. This hotel is in the middle of no where, its super inconvenient to make your guest order or driveoff premise every time they want to eat lunch or dinner. this is very unprofessional. overall the hotel is fine but notconsidering your paying guest is pretty basic. I stayed here for three nights and though I liked the spaciousness of my room, there were some things that made it less than a 5... star stay. Overall, it was an older hotel. There was no fan in the bathroom and the water pressure in the shower was notgreat. First, the first two nights there were what appeared to be teenagers running up and down the hallways like a stampede ofelephants after midnight. I called the front desk the first night and they said they?d do something about it, but they continuedto be incredibly loud very late at night the first and second nights of my stay. The fitted sheet on my bed was too large forthe mattress size. And there was no comforter, just sheets. The bathroom mirror was very noticeably dirty withfingerprints. When I checked in there was no available luggage carts and I was told by the front desk to wait for one of themto be returned (And they assured me that people return them). I waited long enough and decided to just carry by bags upindividually. Turns out the luggage carts were hanging out empty in hallways. Read more
