Loved the outdoor seating. Server was excellent (Brent). The food was okay. Mashed potatoes not real flavorful, use that butter!... Souffles so disappointing, dry & bland. Chocolate souffle no sauce. Grand Marnier better the good Creme Anglaise. For price foodshould be more outstanding. Read more

Wow. Such a great experience. We sat outside in their very spacious outdoor covered seating and it was a beautiful night with... plenty of heaters if you get cold. The food was amazing. Had some oysters to start and my uncle had the potato leeksoup. Multiple family members got the Chilean sea bass which l tried and it was phenomenal. I had their Wagyu sampler which hada total of 10oz if steak including 4oz of American Wagyu and 2oz of A5 Japanese Wagyu. This was my first time trying theJapanese Wagyu and it was absolutely amazing. Unlike any other steak I've had before. Highly recommend if youve never had itbefore. We had various sides (all must be ordered a la carte) including brocollini, mashed potatoes, and the mushrooms and theywere all perfectly cooked. Cocktails were very good though the martinis werent the best we've had. Great wine selection aswell. Service was awesome. Highly recommend over any of the chain steakhouses like Flemming or Ruth Chris. They also gave us acomplimentary Apple pie for my graduation! Read more

The two most popular steakhouses mentioned to me in the Pasadena area are Alexander’s and Arroyo Chop House. I’ve dined @... Alexander’s a few times so tonight I got the chance to compare ACH to Alexander’s to see which is my favorite. Parking @Alexander’s is easier because they have an underground lot next door. I was able to find street parking tonight but the bestoption usually for ACH will be valet. I would say I like the design of ACH more as it’s closer to a classy California stylewhereas Alexander’s looks like a standard steakhouse. Our server tonight was polite but when we sat down she asked “wouldyou like bread for the table? We have some garlic bread and sourdough, but most people get a mix of both.” So we said “surethat sounds nice” and then when we got the bill there was a $9 charge for bread.. I still paid for it but didn’t reallyconsent to ordering it as I had no idea it was for a charge, so I did not enjoy that part of the meal. I started off with thePrime Chili as I don’t eat Chili often, but being in a steakhouse with premium meat products and in a city that is obsessedwith chili I felt it was a good call. It really was tasty with steak chunks in it. For my entree I chose the Filet Mignon and itwas pretty good with a smokey type flavor, but it was a bit under cooked and the kitchen had cut into it a few times so it cameout ugly; so I would have to say it was not as good as Alexander’s steak, which does not have a smokey flavor (my preference.Char flavor is nice, but different from smokey flavor). For our dessert we chose the Grand Marnier Soufflé and being myfavorite dish to order for dessert I expected to like this and really did; it was a great end to the meal and large insize. Overall a really nice dinner although I do like the steak @ Alexander’s slightly more I enjoyed my experience tonightat Arroyo, aside from the bread incident, and would come back in the future. Due to the steak being undercooked, and the upcharge with the brea Read more

Everything was great: the food and the service. We ordered the porterhouse for two and it was delicious, melt in your mouth,... goodness. The lobster mashed potatoes and the broccolini was well seasoned and paired well with our porterhouse. Definitely needto order a negroni and the Manhattan. You must complete your dinner with a soufflé. All in all, dinner was amazing! Read more
