This location feels slightly hidden as it's a place within a place. You walk in through a set of doors and are greeted by a... bunch of stand alone coffee shops and dessert places. This particular coffee shop had a choice of 2 vegan pies and the baristawas educated enough to help my friend pick a vegan friendly chai drink. Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a pretty niceselections of rarer tea flavors and a cozy sit down spot right by the venue. Definitely a spot to check out if you're indowntown Pasadena. Read more
Their earl gray pie used to be the best, but somehow it has been down the hill for quite some time. All their pies, meh. I went... back three or four times in the past year. I love me some pie and this place did not disappoint. We shared the key lime pie as a midafternoon snack and paired it with some... Intelligentsia coffee from next door which is conveniently just steps away. Lovely citrus flavor. The whip cream paireddelightfully with the tartness of the pie and the graham cracker texture was on point. I only wish the slices were bigger forthe price. When did pie slices become $8?
