My wife and I came to the wild coyote winery on Saturday, June 17 to celebrate a friends 50th birthday. From the moment we... drove through the gates, we knew we were in for a wonderful weekend. The property is situated on a hillside surrounded byvineyards with expansive views across the valley. We were joined by four other couples and rented all five Casitas. Withsouthwestern style architecture, the wine tasting room and casitas are furnished with many pieces of southwestern art andfurnishings. Their proprietary Gianni and his wife Kati welcomed us with open alarms. We started out with the wine tasting uponarrival and I was seriously impressed with their red wines, especially their 2013 Malbec, 2013 Tempranillo, 2014 Tannat and 2015Cabernet Sauvignon. The Casitas are fully furnished and equipped with full bathroom, refrigerator, coffee maker, good coffeetea, TV and have wifi internet access. Each morning we were greeted with a wonderful in casita breakfast prepared by Kati thatincluded Eggs Benedict or omelette and muffin with freshly squeezed juice and fresh fruit. On Sunday we were give a hosted tourof the winery by Gianni and Kati prepared a sit down dinner for 10 in the wine tasting room. The meal was absolutelydelicious. On Monday we enjoyed a catered BBQ on the patio behind the tasting room and Casitas. All in all, this was awonderful weekend and we all had a fantastic time. On our first trip we did the wine/barrel tasting tour. It was very nice. We ended up joining the club. Very good wines. Reds... Only. The tannat is yummy! Read more
