Nice when you don't want or need to go to the supercenter

Absolutely hate the brand new self check-out system. I was there this afternoon. I bought a couple of items and left, then... came back to get one item I forgot. The self-checkout card reader kept rejecting the debit card I had just used less than anhour earlier. A very nice Walmart associate came over to help. She couldn't get the machine to accept my card, either. So Itold her I would just go to Aldi, which I did. My card worked just fine there, and I bought a whole week's worth of groceriesin addition to the one item I was going to buy at Walmart. While I was at Walmart, I noticed other people having difficulty withthe new self check-out system as well, from not being able to scan items to not reading their cards. I don't know whichcorporate suits thought this new system was a good idea, but it's not. Perhaps Doug McMillon and the other smart people atcorporate should go to Aldi and see just how quickly they check people out, then allowing customers to bag their groceries attheir own pace without holding up other customers. One more thing, Walmart has eggs for $1.75 a dozen with a couple of big signsthat say "Great Low Price, great value, $1.75 dozen." Got news for you: Aldi eggs are 78 cents a dozen, less than half the costat Walmart. Today, October 5, 2022. Went to get some equate allergy medicine. The price on the shelf was $10.64; the price atthe register was $17.46. The largest retailer on earth apparently can't get the shelf price to match the register price. DougMcMillon, why is it that you can zipline items to my yard but can't get the prices to match? A SEVEN dollar difference? SMH. Read more
