We came here on a Thursday evening, and we did not need reservations, and we were being sat around 6 PM. We sat outside, and the... weather was absolutely beautiful. It was fall decor outside which was a nice touch. The service was excellent and we hadalready come to expect a good $30 a plate for dinner so I did not surprises. The cocktail which was a dirty martini was good,however, my wife got her second one she did modify it was a little too dirty for her taste. The food was very good. I will giveit for stars and I would give the ambience in the service five stars. Overall it was 4 1/2 stars. The food itself I had theshrimp and grits lacked a little bit of flavor. You could tell it was well done I just was expecting a little more punch toit. I liked my wife?s chicken Cordon Bleu more than she did. It was a little salty but overall excellent quality. Made reservations a couple days prior to Saturday night. We were seated promptly and the staff was amazing and very tentative.... The food, drinks and dessert was also flavorful and there was real attention to detail. My husband got the roasted cordon bleuwhich melted in your mouth. I chose the fillet salad which was flavorful tender and absolutely amazing. We chose to take dessertto go and was absolutely impressed with how wonderful it was. The ice cream and cream puffs.... So. I went to this restaurant on a Wednesday at the recommendation of a local patron who also accompanied me and assured me from... his past experiences that this was a fantastic food experience/establishment. To start of I will say the owner who greeted uswas very nice and accommodating as well as most of the staff. However the food left something to be heavily desired. I startedwith the tomato caprese salad. The tomato was not yet ripe at all to be served also the amount of oil that was on this platepretty much was drowning the mozzarella and tomato. I ordered the mushroom ravioli for my mains ,and this was where thingscompletely ruined the whole dinner. The whole dish was sweet. I have had mushroom ravioli at other establishments ,and one thingI can conclude is that nothing about that dish should be that sweet. I mean form the sauce to the balsamic to the mushroom. Thewhole dish was sweet and not savory at all. It blew my mind that pasta could taste that sweet. I couldn't stand to eat anymorethen a few bites, and my companion who is a regular patron of this establishment had the rest of pasta ,and even he concludedthis was the worst dish that he has had from here. I tired giving them one more chance with the dessert ,and had "the best northof Miami" key lime pie. The pie was actually fairly decent. The filling could have been more firm and the pie crust as well,however that can be overlooked understandably as I am presuming the desserts are not made on a daily basis. Here is where thisbad dinner went to go on and become a horrible night and following day. Not even 5 minutes after leaving the restaurant I begansweating profusely ,and requested for the car to be pulled over. I immediately threw up for the next 5 minutes. I dropped of myfriend back to his place and went on to my hour drive back home. As soon as I got back home I threw up once again in mydriveway.
