Sue and Suzanne are absolutely awesome. I am currently hiking the Appalachian Trail and stayed the night in Peekskill. It was... about 9:15 on a Wednesday evening when I finally made it out for dinner. Everywhere was close to closing, when I walked by thisbar and got to talking to Sue the owner, who was outside at the time. She could see I was really wanting a good meal as I cameout of the woods earlier in the day looking totally starved lol. She led me inside where I sat at the basically closed barhaving a beer waiting on my chicken wrap to go. Barely 10mins later she walks out with an armful of food wrapped up and threw itin a bag for me. We chatted for a few minutes about the trail and hikers she's met thru the years. After a great pic and goodbyeI went back to my room at the hotel and gorged on a massive dinner that was absolutely perfect!! Great dive bar that I stopped at spontaneously after walking around Peekskill. Ordered the French Onion soup and a cheeseburger... with fries. Food was great (although I prefer swiss cheese on my F.O.S. and not provolone) and the bartender was very nice, too.It was fun chatting with her. The place was empty (for lunch anyway) but I didn't mind as I don't like crowds. It was me andanother guy at the bar. He was annoying but she handled him well.
