I wanted callaloo and saltfish so bad. Macca Tree nor Dutch Pot had boiled bananas to go with it. Called this restaurant and... asked if they had it all. Answer was yes. Thank the Lord. I took a chance considering I?d never been, never heard of it, andtheir rating isn?t the highest. So glad I did. I got a regular plate. Perfect size. I couldn?t finish it in one sitting. Therewas no difference in taste from their callaloo and Dutch Pot?s. Tasted good and $8.54 is damn good price. 12/29/21 When I walked in, the employee behind the counter just sat in the chair and stared at me. Had to ask her could I order.... When trying to order she couldn?t here me because of the headphones in her ear. That couple with how stuffy and dirty it was inthere, I just left. Horrible customer service. If I could give no stars I would. Just like how I walked in and got no greeting. I walked into a restaurant with nobody up... front while the cook fixed an order in the back for 10 minutes. When he finally came to the front he said hold on and walkedback to the kitchen on his little red cell phone and the shop phone in the other hand. The uber eats lady was there annoyedbecause he had no food available but yet online everything seemed to be available on the menu. The uber eats lady walked out andthat should of been my sign to leave. 15 minute later he comes and ask where the lady is and i ask if there?s oxtails and hetells me yes but let him finish the uber order. He runs out of the store to find the lady but she is long gone. After 30 minuteshe says sorry no oxtail. I say why didn?t you tell me that 30 minutes ago and he says sorry I thought there was some but it?sjust sweet potato in the gravy. What a waste of time. Who puts sweet potato in oxtail anyway? Instead I ask for curry goat andthere?s none so I say what do you have and he says brown stew chicken so I say I?ll take it. He goes over to the pot of ricethat had no cover from I walked There until till I walked out. He put the brownstew chicken and the rice in the microwave andnuked the food then came to the front and checked me out. I paid walked out and went home just to end up throwing away becauseit wasn?t palatable. I will never return to this restaurant in the corner again. Terrible service. Terrible food. Just goes toshow anyone can literally open a restaurant. You and island in the pines must have the same owner. You both need to close downbecause I feel it?s disgraceful. You need to do better.
