Our favourite place in Perth to eat. James and Kerri are wonderful hosts and the food is always special. They have great staff... who offer friendly service and make your dining experience pleasant. Dinner is always a monthly treat for us and weoccasionally squeeze in a lunch when we are in town. When the weather is nice the picnic lunch offering is really nice. Theypack you lunch in a lovely basket and then you can head over and enjoy the beauty of Stewart Park. Fabulous.?? Read more
So happy to have stopped here! Personally, I?m all about the detail and this restaurant had me sold from the vintage porch... light in the entrance. We were greeted right away and seated in the nook area which was nice because it was a bit secluded fromthe other tables. The style and Aesthetic gives early 1900, from the tables/chairs, the wall and ceilings + chandeliers. I alsoenjoyed that the napkins are cloth but not matched.. it might seem odd to some but it gives this spot character. When weordered our drinks, two different types of their iced tea, the server mentioned that the i e cubes were also of the same teawhich does not dilute the taste.. I thought that was fantastic and such a simple touch to elevate the experience. As for themeal, I ordered the buffalo tofu sandwich and I highly recommend trying it out! The Doritos added a crunchy texture and thefresh croissant was mouth watering. We could not leave before trying out their desserts which was the cherry on top! Theirvegan carrot cake was tasty and their Panna Cotta topped with blueberry was to die for. I didn?t want to leave Perth as Iwanted to come here for another meal. Just finished having the most wonderful, relaxing and tasty lunch at Gather in Perth, Ontario. The service was the best I?ve... ever had at any restaurant. From the greeting, sitting, ordering and meal to table it could not have been better. The chef cameover to see how I was enjoying my meal. The server was so sweet and friendly. I loved everything I ordered. The music playingwas so soothing; made me feel like I was dining in Paris. The setting was beautiful, comfortable and has a view onto downtownfor great people watching. We love Gather in Perth so much. Their food is creative and delicious, and the people are wonderful. Lunch is their main... offering and the menu is truly unique. (Do check out the menu.) You can get a sandwich between $10 and $18, which includes aside soup or salad. The soups change regularly and are very yummy. Gluten-free bread and vegan options are available. Theco-owners have decades of experience in the hospitality industry. James and Kerri have both worked in and run high-endrestaurants -- and it really shows. They go the extra mile (whipped maple butter on sandwiches) and they take excellent care oftheir customers (offering towels to dry off after coming in from a downpour). More important tidbits... A local farm providesseasonal veggies. They have great beers from local microbreweries. Ask for the gluten-free, dairy-free carrot cake (it isincredible). If you get the opportunity, ask Kerri to describe food and drink pairing (she is a sommelier) or ask James how heprepared the dish you ate. They are really passionate about what they do and it is a joy to listen to them. For a specialoccasion, book ahead for one of their monthly dinners. The dinner menu changes every month.
