Ordered the taco salad and wow! Filled with spring greens with no substance. The chicken was flavourful but other ingredients lacking. There was some shredded cheese with an emphasis on a very few shredded pieces to wonder why they even bothered adding cheese lol. Some finely chopped tomato with a little tiny container of dressing in those dipping plastic containers. Honestly looking at it being served to another table looked appetizing to a hungry customer so I thought I would share this light lunch with my partner with some cold beverages visiting the festival here. A total fail in terms of a satisfying light meal. When we complained about the lack of substance to this spring green filled taco and the owner?s answer was ?well it?s our most popular item on the menu!? That was the end of that! She was right and we were??. not important! Wow! $20.00 dollars for the spring green filled taco was an absolute rip off in my opinion!
The food was average and although there was a wait time to get in, the food was a real let down, The nachos needed more toppings and the enchiladas needed more of a flavour. Everything seemed like a cheap mix of stuff.. Take away is great service and staff and location. If you can follow that with great food and drinks, it would be awesome place especially when you consider the high costs for the quality of the food.
Place was cute and clean. Survive was really good. Only thing I would say is it is $$$ (expensive). It is nice that there is cheese on every chip but for a large notch a 2nd layer might have been good as well and tacos are sold individually. Over all everything was great just a little too too dollar for my self.
Seeing the good reviews I was looking forward to the food, but it was a huge disappointment. Food definitely not "Mexican", I got the burrito - really plain tasting, just overly salty meat, came with the cheapest rice, the cheapest possible cheese. The best part were the fries that surprisingly came with the burrito as a side. On the opposite - why I gave 2 stars instead of 1 - great location and great stuff and good beer from Perth brewery.
Great location and food! The service was excellent but the beef fajitas were even better. Best beef I've had in years! The kid's menu chicken fingers and fries were outstanding. Bathrooms are clean and sanitary. Love the aesthetic. I'm really looking forward to coming back in warmer weather and sitting right next to the canal!
A great location on Gore St (The main street) and patio on the river. Good drinks, decent food but imo, could definitely ramp up the spicing and flavors in their dishes and expand on salad and vegetable options. This all said, I go here everything I am in town to sit by the river, a margarita or two and nibbles.
Highly recommend getting two fish tacos ? ?! So light and crispy and perfect! A fantastic lunch! My parents took me here when I was avery young kid, so I thought I'd come back at 28 years old and try it again! Very good experience again! Love the views! I'd love to come back again one day and try the enchilada! It looked so good on someone else's table hehe!
Very tasty food, very accommodating since I don't like cilantro, it wasn't an issue! Sadly they weren't taking reservations, it was on a first come first serve basis, which meant we ended up waiting about an hour. Perth is beautiful though, so we just walked around until they called us. Beautiful restaurant location!
Food is all we do, and at Mex & Co we do it right everyday. Call us at (613) 264-8182 to hear more about our appetizing coffee and how much people in Perth love our fantastic mexican.
