Food took about 90 minutes to get. Sampler was missing the loaded potato skins. Caesar salad (supposed to be a house) was... filled with dirt. Obviously it wasn?t washed. The hostess/server was wonderfully nice, it wasn?t her fault. They were severelyunderstaffed and the football game was turned up to max volume, making it difficult to have any conversation. Read more
Do not spend your money here! My friend and I decided to get dinner at the purple toad one evening. I ordered a margarita and a... steak (medium rare). Margarita was mediocre, but the steak came back medium-medium well. I asked for another and the waitress(Bri) put in the request. 20 mins go by and my friend had not gotten a refill on his drink. He pulled the hostess aside and lether know. All of a sudden the waitress comes over and accuses us of "talking s***",brings back a peice of my overcooked steakwith a steak chart, and snatches up my credit card. She then came back and threw our cards on the table. My friend demanded amanager, who then told us to leave. I later determined that this was the kitchen manager, and that the actual manager waswatching from the distance. We tried calling multiple times and finally got an answer at 1am. The manager accused us of"throwing" pennies at the waitress and never offered an apology. Mediocre drinks, terrible food and gut-wrenching customerservice. Read more
It has a vibe like the bars in downtown Colorado Springs, the good and the bad. Very slow service but decent drinks and food.... Highly recommend the green tea shot. Don't recommend the pretzel bites, they are burnt and when I asked about them the serversaid that's just how they've been making them, and to ask for them undercooked so there's some golden instead of all brown.Honestly would be 1 or 2 stars but the server was really good. Review is for pick up we ordered. My customized Mac n Cheese was perfect, my kids sliders and fries were excellent, and the... wife was mostly happy with her grilled chicken (was a bit dry) and her sides. The place was clean, welcoming, and had afun/unique aesthetic. I definitely plan on returning some time soon! Read more
