Today was my first time at the City Winery Philadelphia. Saw Eric Benet who put on a wonderful show. I would say City Winery as... a music/dining venue is fair. The location is convenient and the sound system was good, although I thought the stage lightingcould have been better—a bit too dark. As far as the space, City Winery is dead wrong for the number of people they arewilling to seat at a table. My table, which was on the slightly elevated mezzanine, was set up for 8 people but really no morethan 6 people could comfortably sit at those small tables, and the tables on the floor were worse. Luckily, there weren’tother guests at my table so I was comfortable, but a sold out show would likely be very uncomfortable, so you have to chooseyour seats wisely. I had the Kale Caesar with chicken which was okay—not spectacular. And I was disappointed because I orderedone of their zero proof cocktails only to be told they did not have the ingredients to make the drink. Staff were friendly andhelpful though—no issues there. So, City Winery Philly isn’t perfect but I would go back to see a show that’s of interestto me. Read more

Great venue in the heart of Center City in the Fashion District. Perfect place for small concerts, conferences at the lower... level. Street level has the restaurant. Good selection of wine. Excellent service. Read more

Went here for The Writers Room event and had a great experience. They have a separate event space with its own bar and food... service. The space is spacious and gorgeous. There are panels of neatly arranged barrel segments that create a nice aesthetic. Ihad the classic wine flight and the wines were fine. The truffle fries were decent, but could have been improved by garlicaioli, then again what couldn't be. Will definitely be back for more events. Read more

I loved the atmosphere of this place. The rosé was really good, but the menu is generally pricey. I added shrimp to my salad... for $8 and I got around five pieces, which I was disappointed about. The bartender was very nice though. Read more

Place is very nice but the seating is really and I mean really intimate for their main shows. The tables feel more like for two... than four. But the several times we went the others who were seated with us were cool. The main bar upstairs had the absolutecoolest bartender name bird. He was a wizard with the drinks. Overall it’s a awesome place with great choices for live musicand good food. Read more
