I am from Texas where we have Tex Mex, but this is honestly the best Mexican food I've had anywhere other than Texas. I got the... appetizers nachos and added pork, it was enough for one person. My friend go the make you own tacos with 2 choices of protein.If ever in Philly please try this restaurant. It is packed during dinner and can't place reservations ahead of time but worththe wait. We loved our meal at El Vez. Although we were not able to obtain reservations, we were able to sit outside with plenty of heat... from the heat lamps. This meant we avoided the two hour wait inside. We had the pomegranate margaritas. They were yummy and hada delicious tequila flavor. We also had the black bean enchiladas. The star of the show was most definitely the chargrilledsteak tacos. Others in our group got the steak and shrimp tacos and if I had to do it again, I believe that was the perfectcombination. The service at El Vez was also exceptional.
