My friend and I dined here tonight & the food, drinks, and service were out of this world. The spritz went well with the spicy... Thai food and the bartender had great recommendations for other drinks to try. The atmosphere was spectacular and ending themeal with an espresso martini was the icing on the cake. I highly recommend dining in here if you’re looking for an authenticThai experience. Read more

If you want authentic Thai food Kalaya will not disappoint. I loved the casual atmosphere. No frills, food came out quickly &... presentation was beautiful. We ordered some laab and were warned that it was spicy- it was - but was also packed with herbs andwell executed. The chicken dumplings and Chinese broccoli were my favorite dishes. BYOB I’m sad that they’re moving toFishtown because I won’t be able to walk there anymore :( Read more

One of a kind experience. We came here for my wife's birthday and she absolutely loved the food and place. The food was amazing... and so was the plating. Food is a lot different than other Thai places that we have been to and this felt unique and authentic. Our server Lindsay was very helpful and did a great job with the recommendations and service. Shaw muang ( Chicken dumpling)was really good and delicious and does look like it is a dish made for the emperor. What surprised us the most is the Kalum todnum pa ( Cabbage) ..never have we ever had cabbage this delicious. We can't wait to come back and try more. Finalist for best chef @kalayaphilly - Philly, PA Amazing fresh scallops & jumbo prawns + deep Thai flavors that I've missed... for a long time! Chef Chutatip “Nok” Suntaranon ensures authentic Thai flavors by not allowing any substitutions or changesin spiciness. They make the curry paste & powders in-house and prawns are caught straight from the rivers of Thailand Someflavors & dishes were SPOT ON like the scallop curry, Khao yum tossed salad with dried shrimp & fish, shrimp crab & pork siumai, stir fried cabbage. Some were lacking a bit of flavor or depth like the black pepper beef and prawn + vermicelli - itneeded a bit more umami & garlic. I would almost think a char grilled soy + fish sauce + lemongrass beef would bring out morefrom the steak Overall a good experience. Got faked into the salad that was marked a 1 level spice that should've been a 5level (my level ????). I ended up eating most of it ???? 100% try the scallop though, I dream about it sometimes!
