This place is a gem! I?m not being hyperbolic when I say this is the best Mexican food I?ve ever had. Authentic flavors,... homemade tortillas, sauces, desserts, down to even the fresh squeezed juice for the margs (not to mention more flavor optionsthan I?ve ever seen!). The Molcajete was amazing and had shrimp, beef, chicken, and an amazing sauce with heat, flavor and justpure deliciousness. Also, the service was impeccable. Our server was lovely and had great recommendations and everything cameout timely and super fresh. Oh yeah, and the queso fondido con chorizo was delectable, gooey, melty, savory and loaded withchorizo and served with warm fresh tortillas - hit the spot! We dined in at their old location a few years back, and loved the food. We were trying to find a Mexican restaurant to dine in... at on a Saturday evening, and came across this old gem. The service was great, they were very patient, and circled back veryoften to see if we wanted to order anything else. The margaritas were spot on, and the food was amazing, and very flavorful. Hands-down one of the best restaurants in Philly. I almost didn?t want to post about it because I?d love to keep it all to... myself, but Las Bugambilias has authentic Mexican cuisine and an amazing menu with so many options. The service was so sweet andattentive and the ambiance is vibrant yet comfortable and I can?t wait to go back again. You?re not going to find authenticMexican food at a level like this in the city anywhere else. I need to go back for their bottomless brunch and again for dinner. Read more

Very disappointed. The guacamole lacked spice and the pollo en mole, although quite generously served lacked zing. So did the... rice and beans, and the portions were tiny. Not authentic. Mexican food toned down. I asked for a no salt margarita whichunmistakably arrived with a salted rim. Approximate service.
