Overrated! The ice cream and milkshake is really simple and the same as any other ice cream shops! I?ve had much more better and... more delicious local ice creams in other cities and places. I like the indoor decoration however there is no room to sit insideand you have to wait outside to grab and go. Anyway, really expensive for its quality and tastes! Read more
I say this without hesitancy - The Franklin Fountain ice cream is some of the best ice cream I've ever had. We came on a late... Friday night about 45 minutes to close and had a short wait. The interior is a nod to older-style ice cream parlors and despitebeing near closing, the staff was all pleasant and welcoming. They were out of the Maple Walnut ice cream so I tried therecommended Almond Butter Cherry instead. My girlfriend got a chocolate-and-nougat-flavored treat called Whirly Berley. Since weare lover of cones but not so much the mess, we both got ours small and served on cones upside down in a carton. The flavor wasfantastic. Love this place. This place gives you that 70?s experience of an icecream parlor. They serve some of the best homemade ice... cream?s in this area. They have a variety of different flavors and options to choose from including brownie sundaes, ice creamsandwiches, and shakes. This place is located right in front of Penn?s landing. Parking is a little problem in this area unlessyou find meter parking. Definitely worth a try. Read more
Ive been here a number of times in the past few years. Its really cute and old timey like the area surrounding. Its is... definitely a really great ice cream spot in philly They are really creative with the frozen snacks and have many good flavors.I love that it is home made and usually not extremely busy. Me & my family have gone here a couple times & loved it every single time! Always friendly staff, the inside is nice looking, a... vintage vibe! ????
