My life partner and I were looking to have dinner, close to the hotel, during #PhiladelphiaVacation2022. It had been years... since either one of us had eaten Philly pizza, so we decided on Wood Street Pizza. I was surprised to see that it was not openfor dining in, and it was refreshing to see other people realize that covid19 is still a real thing. Seeing the staff wearingface masks would have been nice, but I digress. I ordered two slices of the Grandma pizza and my life partner had a cheesecalzone. Both of us were very satisfied with our dinner and found everything tasty and filling. I can't say enough great things about this spot. Their pizza is top-tier. There's an italian sandwich on the menu that makes... me emotional just to write about. You can tell that there's a lot of intentionality and care put into the food that is servedhere and it comes across in your palate. The photos attached honestly don't do the food enough justice. The area itself is a bit grim and they don?t allow indoor dining (understandable from some ofthe people I saw lingering outside).
