Great sandwiches made like a deli should still make them. Friendly owners and staff always make you feel welcome.
It has been a long time since I've eaten here. Would have loved to eat here today. I was waiting in line - one person left... woohoo!! When everyone at the counter walked away and the employee standing off to the side started taking order from about 10people that just walked in. Probably just me standing in the wrong section of a 6 foot counter. I was probably hard to see. SoI went to another sandwich place down the street. No biggie. Lots of places to eat downtown. Went back after a long time. My Veggie sandwich was just as expected, and reminded me of good old times. We (two of us) weren't... too hungry so decided to split the sandwich and got a side of pasta salad. After a short wait, I was handed the bag and I wastold they've put two forks in the bag (as they realized we were splitting the meal). To my surprise, I also found an extracookie in there (sandwiches come with a cookie). I know, just a small cookie. Right? But it's the thought that matters. It didput a smile on my face. Sometimes it's the little things in life that make a difference. Before I wrote the review, I sawsomeone posted about black/muslim being treated different here. I am a Sikh by religion, have a full beard and also have brownskin. I've never once noticed anyone treating me different at this place. My experience today was definitely five star worthy. First, I have to say the food... quality was outstanding as usual, really appreciate their menu diversity as well. But, they were having driver issues and wereobviously slammed the day of the meeting and the order arrived about 40 minutes later than requested - which is the only reasonI went down to 4 stars.
