We had dinner here on a Saturday night around 730 pm. The food was alright, nothing spectacular, but the service was atrocious.... Waiters and waitresses would make eye contact with you and purposely avoid coming to your table. When checking on tables, theywould do a quick lap around their assigned tables without stopping to see how any one is doing. After sitting down, I receivedmy bread after my entree was served despite asking for it when placing my appetizer order. Also, the staff has a dismalunderstanding of their menu, let alone combinations of food and ingredients. This place claims to be a fine Italian diningexperience; however, aside from the name, nothing about this establishment symbolizes quality Italian dinning. Additionally, the main room had two servers for 15-16 tables that ranged from 2-6 people per table. They ambiance was so loud that I could nothear my waitress and, as a result, was brought th incorrect dish. The establishment has potential, but they need to decide ifthey want to be a mid level express Italian dinning experience or an actually informed and quality Italian dinning experience.Should they choose the later, I’d strongly recommend that they reduce the number of table in the first room (for purposes ofambiance and client care) and actually have their staff learn about the menu and have a rudimentary understanding of winepairings or even their own cocktail and beverage inventory/options. Overall, two of us spent $160 on one app, two pasta entrees, and three glasses of wine ( would have ordered more but we only saw our waitress once every 30ish minutes and we’re tooannoyed to waste our time). The quality of the food and service was, at best, worth $90 Read more

We are big fans. Appetizers, mains, and desserts are all sensational. Rotating handmade pasta dishes are a must, but you can’t... lose with the pizzas, either. For the pizza, it’s Neapolitan-style pizzas with fresh, thoughtfully sourced ingredients thatwill knock you on your #%*. The pasta entrees speak for themselves, you literally can’t go wrong. The wine list is soexpansive that, if anything, you might have trouble deciding which direction to go. Our wonderful server, Emily, made the wineselection process fun and was all too happy to bring us tastes based on a few recommendations she made. (The staff here knowstheir stuff) … So, whether you’re dining in the main space - or up in the secret wine bar beyond the garden, you’re goingto have a delicious meal and top notch service. PS - don’t skip dessert. Your homemade tiramisu, cannoli, or gelato will gonicely with an invigorating espresso drink or after dinner liqueur. - JT Read more

We're from a Boston neighborhood predominantly Italian and none of the establishments around us are as good as Il Pizzaiolo. We... sat in this cozy cottage behind the main restaurant. We dined on a leather couch by the fire. After dinner one of yourstaffers,an older gentleman with glasses chatted with us briefly. He was so considerate and engaging with us and our kiddo (whowas bored. )He told her a story about when he was her age and how he use to suffer in similar settings. Her mood improvedconsiderably. I wanted to get his name to thank him. He was so charming. It's so rare to find good food, service, atmosphere andeducated staff on top of it all 5 stars, HIGH RECOMMEND Read more

Was out with colleague for dinner and he picked Italian. Staff was friendly and helpful. A lot of the options were not... available due to shortages or kitchen issues. Started with the Arancini with cheese option, moved on to Bella Sofia pizza, andtopped off with Cannoli and an Americano. Arancini was pretty good, pizza bread was very nice, and the Cannoli was good too. Nice atmosphere but maybe a tad bit too loud in there with almost to the point of yelling at times at full capacity. Niceexperience overall. Read more
