It's... Food. My partner and I had not been to a Joe's Crab Shack in quite some time. This location does not live up to the hype... you have in your head. The staff was great. They'd get 5 stars. But, the food was lackluster to say the least. I ordered shrimpin 3 varieties. The bacon wrapped shrimp was charred and the other 2 had no distinguishable flavor. My husband's fish tacos didnot come as represented in the menu. The portion sizes were out of control. Each meal would have been enough for 3people. Sadly dessert was no better. The seafood is really good and freshly prepared. We had fish and shrimp with fries. There is a variety to choose from. Also,... there is a full-service bar. The staff and bartenders are very friendly. This is a great place for the family or date night!! Read more
Good for fast food lovers. Most of the menu items are friend food, so not the healthiest options. But it was pretty good for... what it is. Decor is all ocean oriented, so fun for pictures. I was treating my friend for lunch and her 1st time at Joe's Crab Shack. I didn't Iike how the Host walked right by us at the... door (Restaurant empty) without speaking to us as we waited to be seated, then he doubled back to his stand and said table for2(Really). Then he seated us right across from the bus boy/waitress stand and the dining area was empty. I said we don't want tosit here can we sit somewhere else, he said sit where you want and walked away, didn't walk us to our table or nothing, justrude. our food was excellent and so was our waitress. On our way out I did share the rudeness of the Host with our Waitress andasked her to please share it with her manager. I hope she did. The Host was at his stand when leaving and still no thank youladies for coming, did you enjoy your meal, have a nice day nothing. Like eating other customers' leftovers? Like getting scammed by a manager who thinks you won't notice the difference between... dungeness and snow crab? This place is for you! I wish I'd taken a picture of what food we finally received once our ordersarrived. Crab "clusters?" How about "Build Your Own Crab From an Assorted Collection of Dismembered Refuse from Other Customers'Plates, Reboiled and Soggy for Two, only $99!" We eventually did get dungeness crab after I pointed it out to the server, but bythen I was too annoyed to eat and my kid wasn't feeling well so I took her out to the car. This pic is from the day after, soyou'll have to take my word that it looked the same the night before (amazing how well that seasoning penetrated... almost as ifit was reboiled after dismemberment!) My wife and her friends left soon after. Their meals were just as disgusting, but somehowshe still had it in her to leave a tip (can't blame the staff for a lazy and dishonest manager, she reasoned. Fair enough). It'soffensive to think that some folks work all week and look forward to this. I almost want to write an open letter of apology toall the world's crabs that so many of them should be treated so dishonorably in death. Read more
