We saw a segment on PCN Tours on The Woods House & were intrigued by the history & the Scotch eggs! So down to Hazelwood we went... & it was amazing! We ate in the cute downstairs & although busy, the sweet staff kept checking on us. The Purple Lady Spritzeris my new favorite cocktail & the Scotch eggs & mussels apps were delicious. Fish & chips were good, but my favorites were thegoat cheese toast with tomato jam & the tomato soup - fantastic! The house is welcoming & cozy - they did a great job on theproperty, it's beautiful. I felt like we were at a cool restaurant on vacation- so lucky it's in Pittsburgh! Read more
Loved that they send a reminder and link to everyone in your dinner party. I had the scotch eggs and the mussels. Both were... delicious. We were able to sit outside by the fire and listen to live Scottish Music. What a great place. Read more

This historical building is easy to get to and perfectly hidden in Hazelwood on a back street. The atmosphere is laid back and... cozy. The staff members were open and friendly. Somebody checked in on every table. We had the absolute best waitress. She wasfun and engaging and very helpful. The inside is very rustic and has a log cabin homey vibe. It was so nice Saturday we ateoutside under the awnings. This pub is adorable, the food and drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. Everything is wellportioned and don?t leave without trying a dessert. It?s so wonderful, what they have done there. I hope it inspires otherpeople to revitalize other sections of the city in a positive way. Read more
