This place is pretty solid right off the bat I was impressed by the either hostess or the person running the show behind the... front counter taking orders she was direct but at the same time hospitable and approachable with questions for someone who neverbeen to their barbecue place before. Second thing then impressed me was they were actually out of a number of meats which mightmake somebody else mad but what it made me was excited because there's a reason they sell out cuz it's the good stuff in myexperience. Sure enough the good stuff it was we had the brisket St Louis pork ribs garlic cheddar sausage all of them winners.I think a favor though ironically was the sauteed green beans talk about a well-balanced side dish I don't know what I couldtaste more the green beans. Placerville is a crazy place I'm glad I found the crazy good barbecue in it. Read more
This is the first review I?ve ever left, because the food here is that good. It?s the best value also. Serving sizes are huge... and the best quality bbq I?ve ever had- even better than the places I?ve tried in Texas. I don?t even know how to put it intowords lol! The brisket is heaven. They have excellent customer service. The brisket was delicious. My spare ribs were flavorful but a bit dry for my tasting.... Their potatoe salad and mac and cheese were good. The muffins was a too dry. The spicy sausage was great. But, that place hasgreat ambiance. Read more
Hands down the best barbecue I've ever had in California let alone Texas or the South. The jalapeno cheddar sausage was... succulent juicy full of flavor and not overly spicy. The pulled pork was fall apart delicious moist and flavorful. The macaroniand cheese was homemade extremely rich and satisfying. Probably the most comfort food item I had. The potato salad was betterthan average and the role was freshly made. My buddy had the St Louis ribs and brisket as well as the cornbread with honeybutter. All of which were absolutely incredible as well. We tried each other's food which we never do and enjoyed every bite. Wewere completely useless the rest of the day. I plan on having them cater my next work event and will absolutely be back can'twait to take my family. The service was great the people were friendly the facilities were clean.
