Awesome food. It is a bit pricey, but i think it is completely justified. The quality and the freshness of the food, along with... an outstanding chef make this place one of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to in the U.S....one of the few places thatmanages not to mask the freshness of the ingredients with heavy sauces. What spices and seasonings there are are bright, full ofumami, or wonderfully mild, as appropriate for each individual dish. You could tell that they are still working to smooth outthe service, but it didn't really detrimentally impact our dinner. Our new favorite restaurant in Frisco! "Lost in Translation" and loved it! If you want trendy, tricked up sushi, look elsewhere, but if you want pure Japanese... goodness, this is the place. The Sukiyaki, sublime. The Soft shell crab, crisp and delicate. Even the humble veggie roll wasperfectly nuanced. And wow! Real wasabi. Who knew? The staff -- all of them -- really seem to care, and that shows in theservice, the decor and especially the food. So polite, so delightful. And yeah, there might have been a few moments of actual"lost in translation", but their intentions certainly never were. And that just made it all the more charming. Some reviewershad a problem with price. Not me. Not here. Not for exquisite preparation and genuine authenticity. Bottom line: If you want agreat sushi experience go to Japan. If you can't, go here. The most authentic and not over seasoned Japanese restaurant I had the pleasure to enjoy in the DFW area. Pricing is very... reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. I know because I?m an Asian foodie, and used to travel to Japan quiteoften :-). Will definitely bring friends next time! Read more
