What the entire...... Absolutely disgusting. Two bites is enough to make me want to vomit. Even smells disgusting. I'm... pretty sure the salsa and chicken con carne ate canned. Chips were hard and stale. Ground beef unseasoned. Read more
In retrospect I wish we had gone to the other Mexican restaurant down the street. It started off well. I ordered a virgin... mango margarita and my friend ordered a giant lime margarita. They both came and were orange in color. Mine was delicious andhers was good but also tasted like mango not lime. We asked the waiter and he confirmed it was limon (lime) but I suspect hewas just really busy and didn't want to change it. Fine. She wasn't really in the mood for mango but didn't mind it. Then thefood came and she had asked for green sauce only on her burritos but instead got only red sauce (our other friend who was fromGuatemala had requested it speaking Spanish so there was no language issue the waiter had simply mixed it up since he did notwrite anything down). He did fix that. My food tasted good (not great but good), however at the end of the meal my stomachfelt awful. I thought perhaps I just eaten too much or drank too much slushee since my virgin margarita was huge though nonalcoholic. I ended up throwing up in the bathroom. 20 minutes later our other friend also felt ill and threw up. It may havebeen a coincidence but I am not sure. My son and daughter in law live near Platteville. When I visit them, this is our go to place to eat. The restaurant is clean.... The staff is attentive. Service is prompt. Prices are very reasonable plus they have lunch specials. The margaritas are verygood and come in a variety of flavors.There is indoor and outdoor seating. Tonight I?m having a burrito and taco combination.It?s delicious! I chose to get fried ice cream instead of a Margarita tonight and it was amazing! Can?t wait to comeback! Meh... The food was so unexciting. By unexciting I mean bland, bland & bland. The chips were good but the salsa was just pureed... tomatoes. I saw 1 tomato chunk, what I didn't see, or taste, were onions & cilantro. I ordered 3 tamales from the appetizermenu. They were soaked in mole sauce. Again, bland, bland & bland.
