A charming restaurant located in Pomona. We arrived a little late, about 20 minutes before closing on a Monday night. We were... the only patrons in the restaurant, but the staff was kind and kept the kitchen open for us (we called ahead to make sure thstit would be okay). The restaurant also has a small little market where they sell a number of items from Jamaica. Here's abreakdown of what we ate. 1. Wings - We ordered both the crispy and the jerk wings. The crispy wings were well fried and verycrispy and tender. The jerk wings were next level though. They are marinated in the jerk seasoning and then baked. They werefall off the bone tender and just the right amount of spice. 2. Oxtail Combo with rice and cabbage - Delicious and Tenderoxtail. Not the best oxtail I've had, but definitely up there. 3. Goat curry with rice and cabbage - a distinct curry flavor. It had a hint of sweetness and the Goat is also quite tender. Definitely a lot of bones to sort through. Not a typical curry. Irecommend trying. 4. Mango pineapple ginger juice - a very nice blend of sweetness and spice. You get the sweetness on thefront end with the mango and pineapple blast with a kick of ginger in the back of the throat when you swallow. Perfectlybalanced in my opinion. Overall I would recommend visiting. There are a few other dished I'd like to try next time like thepineapple wings and the jerk salmon. It's not very budget friendly, so be prepared to spend a little bit. Read more

Great black owned business to support. I have only had “to go orders” but the inside of the restaurant has a nice vibe. ... It’s clean & modern with tv’s & a nice bar. During my first visit I ordered the oxtails. Perfectly cooked but it could haveused a bit more seasoning. The second time I had the jerk chicken which was great. I have had the beef & curry patties but thebbq was my favorite. I also tried out the pineapple wings which had an excellent flavor but a bit too breaded for my taste. Theyoung lady who usually takes my order always makes me feel welcome & cultures me further on Jamaican cuisine. The first time, Iordered over the phone but be prepared to pay in advance. The second, I ordered in person but did not wait long at all. Ithasn’t been too busy when I have visited. I will be returning & I definitely recommend. Read more

I had chicken and waffle... beware not a regular waffle it's their version and I didn't care for it so they graciously replaced... it. Wish I had a heads up before that it might be a different taste. Read more

Found a new spot to go to to get quality home cooked meals. I had ordered their jerk chicken plate with side of rice & beans, ... spinach and plantains. The dish was delicious! The chicken was cooked to perfection, so juicy and tender. The rice was good too.Mix both the rice and spinach you get a hearty and flavourful taste. The plate also came with a spicy sauce for the chicken;sauce was great. Not too spicy but enough to get your senses rollin. I also had ordered the pineapple chicken wings. Bomb af!!Chicken wings were big and had a spicy & juicy pineapple glaze coated. It was tasty! Also sampled their chicken curry & bbqchicken patty's. Best of the two was the chicken curry. The patty itself looked like a huge cheese it cracker with flavourfulchicken on the inside. The patty was baked to perfection; light and crisp. Perfect for an on the go treat. Will definitely beback for more. Read more

One of the best Jamaican restaurants I’ve been to!!! I ordered their pineapple honey wings to start off the tasting. I... didn’t take a pic of the wings but it’s that plate with leftover bones (on pic). Their chicken wings are $6.99 (I believe)for 6 pieces which is a good value! If you were to compare to other wing places. As for their main dish I ordered the JerkChicken (small) combo that is served with rice and beans, plantains, a choice of salad or spinach. I guess the spinach option isbetter. My friend ordered their curry chicken bowl which was really creamy and well cooked! The lady upfront who attended us wasso kind and welcoming as for Sharon (woman with blue hair). She went above and beyond to make our experience like home. I willdef come back again for the chicken wings and jerk chicken hamburger ???? Read more
