Great place to visit when exploring the riverfront of Port Huron. Good food... plenty of fish choices, friendly staff, very... clean, nice atmosphere inside, however prices were a bit on the top end. The views of the St Clair River are incredible. Duringthe warm months, there is seating outside to take in the river views, too. Definitely recommend Freighters when visiting PortHuron. Read more

Place is clean. Wheelchair accessible Food was pretty bland. Chicken tenders over cooked, tasted a little fishy. BLT wedge... sprinkles of bacon(barely) and way to much lettuce. Waitress forgot our cocktails Apps were amazing. Shrimp tasted weird Triedto surprise my birthday guests and was told it was coming out in front of them. Ruined. Sorry won't be back. Read more

The service was good, but I'm not going to lie, I was a little disappointed by the tap list. Nothing exciting or even really... special or "new", just the old basics. But I went with the Michigan MI-Tai cocktail and it was fantastic! The fried pickles werevery yummy, and came with a maple mustard sauce for dipping. Very interesting combo of sweet and salty. I still liked dippingthem in the classic ranch better. I was not impressed with the linguine however. It was way too salty for me. Read more

Definitely ask for a view of the water! Although, apparently we should have made reservations… who knew?!? They had a... retirement party and a wedding happening as well as the restaurant open when we were there. Needless to say, they were busy!Freighters is attached to the Blue Water Convention Center and Double Tree Hotel, but the restaurant overlooks the St. ClairRiver with amazing views! It’s fun to watch the ships, trucks driving across the bridge and just wave to our Canadian friendsfrom across the river. Our waiter (Brandon?) sure had his hands full! He was also attending to the wedding party as well as ourrow of booths along the windows. We started with the artichoke dip as we arrived right before happy hour was ending. The dip wasreally good and I would totally order it again. We had that gone in record timing. I ordered the Mesa Chopped Salad and let metell y’all, it definitely had a kick to it! I’m not usually a spicy fan, and this had my mouth on fire a bit… I ate it,but really wish I had been warned a bit. The chicken was really good though! Read more
