Went to Turkey Point today sitting on the beach in November! Weather was warm, sunny didn?t want to leave, looked up where to... eat lunch and came upon this place. What a surprise as we thought we?d be the only ones there but it was packed. We had theBuffalo wrap with French fries and it was delicious. The $5.00 Caesar?s were great too. Nice staff and view looking out. Can?twait to go back. Read more

My hubby and I had the absolute pleasure of visiting this little gem for a mid-week escape from the hustle and bustle of city... living! Upon entering the Sandbar, we were greeted by the super friendly and welcoming hostess ( I wish I'd gotten the name, but she knows who she is!) We showed up during the dinner rush with only an hour and half til closing - as expected, the insideand outside was packed so, we left our number with the hostess and she offered to call us once a table was ready. A short whilelater (maybe 20-30 minutes), the hostess called and we headed back in to order. Joe ordered the Fun Guy Burger and Fries and Igot the Philly Cheesesteak and Fries. Food was DELICIOUS, portions were large and cost was quite reasonable. For dessert, wetried the Deep Fried Key Lime Pie and and Cinnamon Sugar Bites. Both were FANTASTIC! While eating we were absolutely BLOWN AWAYby the staff and watching the owner Carissa interacting with them. It was a Wednesday night, Sandbar was one of the onlyrestaurants open in Turkey Point, they were getting absolutely hammered by customers (some of which were just awful to thehostess), yet, she remained calm, composed and compassionate. Having worked over 15 years in the service industry, seeing hernot only hold herself together but to do so with tact, patience and grace was just incredible to witness and seeing the wayCarissa managed the staff with such kindness and patience was was a breath of fresh air. Maybe the average person wouldn't careor wouldn't notice these things, but atmosphere to me, is just as important as the food and the Sandbar NAILED IT! We lookforward to returning soon! Sandbar On The Beach was incredible. My wife and I were there for dinner on a Wednesday and it was fantastic. Even though it was... packed, the staff handled it brilliantly, with smiles and we didn't have to wait long for our food once we were seated. TheFun-guy Burger was excellent, cooked perfectly and full of flavour, it was a perfect size The Philly Cheese steak sandwich wasloaded with meat, cheese and peppers, and was absolutely delicious. Both were served with a perfect amount of fries. The deepfried Key Lime pie is pretty nuts too, so give that a go, and their mini cinnamon donuts put Timbits to shame. You willprobably have to wait a bit to get a seat, especially if you have a large party, so don't be a jerk to the staff. They do offerto take your number, and will call you once your table is ready, so you can stroll down the beach if it's busy. Definitely giveit a shot if your in town, you won't regret it. Read more
