Excellent neighborhood gem of a restaurant! Very excellent service, and a delightful, uplifting atmosphere. The music is very... authentic and makes you happy! The food is fresh, guacamole made fresh for you at the table! The Pina colada's are so delicious!Plenty of parking and four restrooms for your convenience and comfort. We stopped in for lunch on a Monday just after 2. I guess they must stop serving their lunch menu at 2 because we were told we... couldn't get any of those items. Not really sure since the server never actually specified...maybe she was new because I asked alot of questions and got several "I don't know or I'm not sure". So, we ended up getting the dinner combination plate(the #2, Ibelieve, but subbed the sope for a taco) and chicken fajitas. The food was pretty solid...but the salsa was a let down. It wasvery thin/watery and it tasted a bit like marinara...I'm not sure if there was maybe Mexican oregano in there or what, butdefinitely not a fan. We ordered some salsa Verde to try something else with the tortilla chips. I loved it because it wasspicy, but it was too much for my husband...he couldn't eat it at all. Food had good flavor, but that was all. Food came out cold, waiter never checked on us. We needed a fork, I had to hunt a person... down to get one so we all could eat. Never had a chance to get a second drink during meal. We told the waiter food was cold andyou never came back to table. Response was "thanks" so he obviously didn't understand what we said. Spent $50 on a cold meal andbad service. Restroom was at least clean. I ordered the wet burrito with melted cheese. The room was warmer than the food. Mydad ordered tamales and said they clearly don't sell many they taste like reheated in a microwave. Won't be returning anytimesoon if ever. UPDATE... After a recommendation I went here for dinner. The food was good but a little greasy. Since I had takeout, I can say... the containers were strong enough to keep my food as it was intended. The atmosphere was remarkable. It's an intimate setting aswell as cozy, making it more appropriate for a date than a family. The prices are a little higher, but in this case well worthwhat it costs. Last time I went, they got my order wrong. How can you not put cheese on tostadas??? Since I know the persontaking my order wrote it down correctly, the cooks did not get it right. Since I live so far away, I didn't bother to call andlet them know. I will be looking elsewhere for another restaurant that cares about the quality, and accuracy of my orders. Read more
