Found a hidden gem in Portland!! We came in during happy hour and ordered basically every appetizers from the menu. We loved the... Spicy crispy rice tots, they fried the edge of the rice and topped with tuna and mayo. And look at the tuna hosomaki : The chefgives generous ratio of fish to rice on the sushi roll! One small note is that the sushi rice is slightly too hard for my taste. But overall, great experience and great presentation. Read more

Update This is still our favorite spot in the city. Amazing service, fresh sashimi! I would highly recommend sashimi... plate! Their Toro is the best I?ve ever had?.!!! I really like that they put not only Ume and Yuzugosho for sashimi. Many waysto enjoy them. I?m not sure about the quality of Tempura tho. It was definitely not the tempura you get in authentic Japaneserestaurants, but it was fine. This place is the best sushi restaurant I?ve ever had in the states. I lived in Japan for theentire of my childhood, and I?m very picky when it comes to sushi or Japanese restaurant! The fish was very fresh andaffordable. My bf and I went there for his birthday dinner, and we both loved it so much. The workers there are so friendly andsuper nice too. I would recommend everyone to try either their temari or sashimi. I didn?t expect this good quality of sashimior sushi in the states, honestly. And! Their happy hour is honestly the best offer we?ve got. The sake was delicious (it?sexactly like what I?ve known from Japan), and their cocktail was very refreshing. We only noticed that their takoyaki wasn'tgood as I expected. It was more like age tako, which was fried takoyaki, but still, I was pretty decent! Outstanding services, very clean place, excellent presentation. I honestly don't want any more people to know our new favorite place!???? Read more

We went here to celebrate our 6 month anniversary and were treated so well in a warm open kitchen environment! Very clean and... welcoming space. Edamame and squid tempura were great starters, the sauce to the tempura was amazing! We got 4 rolls: Mountainon fire was a perfect bite that just melts in your mouth, albacore haven had an amazing citrus tang to an expertly seared tuna, broadway tuna roll had the perfect amount of coconut on the prawn, and the uni ikura was like a five course sushi all in onebite! Finished out with some delicious green tea cheesecake and a cute chocolate sauce. Best sushi we?ve had so far in Portland,Will definitely be back! Read more

Spectacular sushi & raw! Brought my partner here for his birthday - he?s a big nigiri and sashimi guy - and he was head over... heels about the experience. We had hot tea, sake, and some edamame to start. He ordered one of the sashimi plates ($$$) for hismain and that was a whole experience in itself. Overall, highly recommend. He said the coho and amberjack were the best cuts. Ienjoyed a couple traditional rolls and they were also really good - better than I?ve had at other joints. So this place is aneasy one to recommend. I would offer it?s a little pricy if you?re going for the raw specials and dinner plates, but the qualitymade it worth it. Read more

Walked in and was seated almost immediately despite not having a reservation which was a bit of a surprise, the service was... super friendly and helpful. On top of having a great atmosphere the happy hour deals were great too. Would highly recommend theTakoyaki and the A meal. The coconut prawns were also amazing. Read more
