Really great local woman-owned bar. Jell-O shots and vitamin R (Rainier) aplenty.
Bartender has been rude to me on multiple occasions for no real reason. She seems gatekeeper-y about who she wants in the bar,... and has made me uncomfortable with some unwarranted brutal callouts that, frankly, embarrassed me. Drinks are just too expensive but it's a very friendly environment and dog friendly too. The bathroom was clean but not spotless... in the mid-afternoon, there was brand new staff so be a bit patient when ordering and you'll get a great well made cocktail. $24for a margarita and whiskey sour is a little bit too pricey though. Great spot, we?ve lived in the area since they opened and we come here a lot. Skater owned and operated, awesome art on the... walls and just an overall solid spot for a few beers and a slice of atlas pizza! Be warned though, the bartender can be rude.She cuts people off who are seemingly fine and just loud or having a good time but lets her buddies continue to drink when theyobviously shouldn?t. Be on your best behavior or she will literally take your drink right out of your hands. Update: Bartenderis still there, still rude. Really wish they would get some new blood in there to tend the bar since we really do love this spotand the patrons who hang there. I?ve been treated rudely and unfairly several times and I?ve witnessed it happening to otherfolks on more than 1 occasion (both regulars and out of towners). Based on the other reviews for CP, this isn?t an isolatedincident. However, there is another bartender who I see from time to time and she is lovely! Welcoming, friendly and chill butsadly I don?t think she works the fri-sat night shift. In reference to the owner?s comment to my original review: Mickey, Iagree, you should talk to your bartender that so many customers have complained about and ask her to ?play nice in the sandbox?and treat all your customers with fairness and respect and drop the whole gatekeeping act.
