Good burger. Crispy fries. I don't like their sauce (very mustard based), but you can order anything added or subtracted. Friendly cashier (owner?). Like that you can sit inside Human Bean if it's rainy or too hot
Friendly folks, platonic ideal of the smash burger form, crisp skinny fries with the mayochup-style sauce. They focus on one thing and they do it very well.
Did you want a burger with fries, because that's what you're going to get here. They don't play around with crazy combinations or different twists on a burger because they don't need to. Simply put, this is the place to stop when you want a great burger. This is the place that reminds you a great burger can be straightforward and impress on the merit of how it's cooked, how it's put together, and if the person making the food cares about the person eating it. This is "just" a food truck, but the effort and intention that goes into every order is evident in a way you don't get from lots of other places. Do yourself a favor the next time you want a good burger and hit this spot up, you won't regret the decision - unless you only get one patty.
The name says it all! This place makes some really really good burgers. The meat is fresh and full of flavor. I ordered the 3x3 meal because I was just in that mood. They also have a 4x4, which I may have to try next time. Their fries are also pretty crispy and tasty. I recommend just eating at the spot to get the full effect of the burger. This burger is among the best in town.
My boyfriend discovered these guys on instagram, so today we decided to travel the 30 minutes from Cedar Hills and try them out. These may be the best burgers we've ever had. Forget about Killer Burger, Shake Shack, or In n Out, they aint got nothing on these bad boys. The burgers were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Just a simple well-made cheeseburger. The fries were crispy and tasty. All for a great price! We left there wanting more and believe we will be there anytime we want burgers.
The burger was solid, simple and to the point. I would give it 4 stars. I?d definitely eat it again. The 5 stars goes to the incredibly friendly staff, especially the woman taking your order. Felt very genuine and happy that you were eating there. She even came out of the truck to ask how everyone?s food was. You don?t see that very often anymore. I appreciated it.
Burger junkie here and finally got the chance to try Hit The Spot. Wow! Awesome burgers offered in a simple way, no holds barred attention to detail, and great flavor. Ricky helped me get started and was very helpful from order to cleanup. The entire staff was great, by the way. The pride shows! I had a 2x2 with bacon and it really hit the spot! Ah, see what I did there? Burger is assembled and wrapped carefully in paper wrap and bag. Can't wait for the Vancouver location to open later this year! Will be a regular customer forever!
Finally able to visit Hit the Spot! Well with the wait AND special trip. We both had a 3x3x4 and they didn't blink when I asked for two strips on the bottom and two on top. The burgers actually look like the advertised photos and taste even better! We'll be back, even if it takes another special trip to Portland. Thank you!
We are in the business of creating memories, delicious american food, and smiles. Bring your family into Hit the spot! in Portland and allow us to craft memories that will be sure to leave you smiling for weeks.
