Wanted a small breakfast and coffee. They totally delivered, OG coffee cake is awesome covered in hazelnuts. Breakfast... sandwiches are fairly large for their price and the coffee was great. Biscuits and gravy are also a hit! Read more
This place is typically bustling! There is both indoor and outdoor seating, free WiFi, as well as a few wall outlets for laptops... and mobile devices. There is a public restroom. They have an assortment of baked goods; my personal favorite is the PrincessCake. Most of the cakes are sold out by mid to late afternoon though, so get there early if you want something sweet and tasty.There are tons of coffee choices too. My top two: Mindsweeper and Hazelnut Praline. There are also some good breakfast optionsavailable here. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the place has a nice atmosphere and feel to it. A NE Portland classic. I love the Pig Newtons. The coffee milkshakes are wicked good. The Black Tiger will test even the most... extreme caffeinators. I don't commute this direction anymore so I get here less often, but it's one of the best breakfastoptions at 6am. Yes, 6am. Early birds rejoice! Read more

I?ve enjoyed Jim and Patty?s baked goods for near 20 years. Today was the first time the quality was noticeably off mark. One... of our favorites is the Princess coffee cake. It has been a wonderfully moist and dense with a delicious coconut frosting. Astand alone pillar of the offerings. Today the cake was dry, the frosting was sugar grainy.
