Elephantine Bakery is absolutely exquisite and they have the most scrumptious pastries and specialty breakfast foods. I got... their Poached Eggs Cilbir and it was incredible, nothing like I have ever had before!! Absolutely loved this adorable bakery! We went back two days in a row while visiting the area. Lattes are excellent, all the... baked goods (and there are five of us, so we tried a wide assortment), where absolutely outstanding. The owner and staff wereall super kind. Finally got a chance to come here and treat myself for my birthday and I?m so glad I did. The poached egg, hearty fresh baked... bread, garlic cream was absolutely delicious, carefully crafted that I make sure the bowl is clean when I?m done. The food andpastries are delicious. Lattes/coffees are relatively simple which is also nice (classic) however could be nice to have one ortwo options such as vanilla or maple. They do have alternative milks here so definitely vegetarian friendly though notnecessarily vegan friendly. Would love to see more hearty vegan meals. Outlet friendly from what I can remember but I?ll haveto double check next time. Small, cozy space. Certainly busy on the weekends, so I typically go on Thursdays or Fridays. Theyalso have a few outside seating. Closes early so I?ll always want the time to extend later but get there early and time slowsdown and it feels like you?ve been there for hours.
