Nice little coffee shop. Plenty of room inside and a great atmosphere. Music playing inside. They were very busy while I was... there. It took a while to get my latte. (Does that sound snooty?) Ha ha. My latte was very tasty. My wife got an icedcoffee. They also have a large offering of sandwiches, parfaits, bagels and other food items. See my picture of the menu. Thegirl who was running the register was professional and friendly. She interacted with myself and other customers in a welcomingway. I enjoyed my visit. I believe they might be understaffed, thus the longish wait, but that is a problem every business ishaving. This place is a complete anomaly. I don't know how they pull it off, but there is no compromise here in meeting all of the... following criteria: (1) delicious food, (2) uplifting ambiance, (3) quick and friendly service, (4) entirely healthy options,(5) almost no lines, (6) sub-$10 per item, and (7) right in the middle of downtown. Portion sizes are just right, so if youlike the feeling of being stuffed, add a smoothie or avocado toast to your entree. I had a wonderful first-time experience, largely due to Abby's amazing customer service. She immediately greeted me at the... register and answered several questions that I had, all with a smile on her face while paying attention to what was going onaround her, too. Moreover, while I was waiting for my delicious organic green juice, I saw that she greeted virtually everyother customer by name. So not only did she make a new-to-Portsmouth person feel welcome but made local customers feelappreciated. All of those things are so important to maintaining an established business as well as growing it. If I had asimilar business, I'd do everything in my power to poach her away from The Green Room! Ordered a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. It was delicious and I enjoyed every bite. I give 4 stars for quality of the food, but... 3 stars for the attention to detail. I asked for no tomatoes and add bacon to my sandwich. And guess what. I got tomatoes and nobacon on my sandwich. Very minor issues but still not what I ordered. I paid extra for the bacon and received none. The receiptand the tin foil it's wrapped in both say no tomato and add bacon. So what went wrong? Overall satisfied with my visit.
